If our bones could talk, how intriguing will it be to listen to the untold stories they carry. The confessions they will make about the many times they struggle to keep us alive. You know that feeling, when you are standing at the edge of a tall building and a screw in your head loosens. For a moment, you sail away with the fairies. You develop an urge to jump. Not because you want to die, but maybe because you think you can fly. I’ve come to fall in love with this kind of eccentric madness. The feeling of fearlessness. The insane courage. The one that pushes us to paths that no one else has been, and leads to places no one knows. Let’s talk about this madness.
Without being economical with the truth, allow me pronounce that life is more fun when your eyes are closed. Yeah, closed! Closed to the world outside and wide open to the one inside. Freely moving in search of a place it belongs; Home. In search of greatness and purpose. ‘Find whatever greatness inside you and nurture it”. This should echo in your mind, every so often. Tell yourself this with an authoritative voice, a voice that will overshadow every doubt within you and remind you of where you belong, on top with the stars. And own that voice.
Beauty, brains, money, power, influence; these things move the society. Blessed is he who possesses such things for thy is the dominion and love of the world. Not for me though. I yearn for more than these. I yearn for different; unique. It is a gray world, mastered by clichés and boring normalcy. There is an acute shortage of fire-flies. Where are my colorful people? The ones that need to help us ignite the world.
I am thankful to nature and life. Every struggle it offers is a means to strengthen us. You know, there is something that fuels and charges me up every time I want to take a risk. The feeling of “I’ve got nothing to lose!” Especially those moments when you are at your record-low and you are not so sure you are going to pull yourself up. And then suddenly, all the pieces fit together in one moment of eureka. A very important revelation dawns on you. You comprehend that in fact when someone is rock bottom, there is only one way to go: up.
Hope is a very dangerous thing to loose. Consider the wondrous process by which a caterpillar morphs into a butterfly. Within its protective casing, the caterpillar radically transforms its body by shedding their soft rubbery skin, eventually emerging as a butterfly or moth. Disturbing a caterpillar inside its cocoon risks botching the transformation. They are meant to breakout of the cocoons before they become butterflies. Adopt this strategy for you metamorphosis. Always embracing the struggle as part of the journey. However, we should always remember not to confuse motion for progress.
